What is this coil for?
What is this coil for?
Several of these coils appeared in the main street of my town recently. As you can see they are surface mount and made from stainless steel.
I initially thought they were installed to absorb the crud emitted from the numerous EFTPOS terminals and data terminals etc that infest the main street but they have made no difference.
Then I thought they were homing devices for aliens.
What on earth can they be??
Are they energy absorbers? Can they affect the greyline? Maybe they are depolarisers.
The dimensions are as follows:-
Conductor diameter 50mm
coil diameter 730mm
coil length 2600mm
Maybe their resonant freq is that of hydrogen?

I suggest it is a "Stand de vélos conçu par un branleur arty".
Common in French cities.

it neutralises the thought-controlling powers of chemtrails.
alternatively, it augments the thought-controlling powers of chemtrails.
not sure which one is true any more

It does both!VK2AVR wrote:it neutralises the thought-controlling powers of chemtrails.

Hi all,
I worked out the inductance at about 3.5 microhenries.
I wonder what would happen if I connected a flux capacitor in parallel with it?

Reminds me of PI network on the BBC transmitters in Singapore - 2 inch copper water cooled.

Yep - it all depends which end you're standing near.VK6OX wrote:It does both!

You forgot the detuning velocity factor of the concrete it is embedded in so it has a shunt resistance.
if there is a radio station nearby try hooking up and germanium diode and a set of earphones and they can get free to air radio

I think its bike rack actually but its about size of the series coil to the standby mast at Dooen 3WV and will series tune a short mast to 600 KHZ
But some idiot stuck it in concrete which is not a ceramic insulator in any stretch of the imagination,
if you believe concrete is an insulator stand on floor in bare feet and stick you finger in the toaster.
