SE VK5 Station required on 2m WSPR

I'm pretty sure I'd be speaking for the majority of 2m WSPR stations in southern areas when I say that it would be really handy for everyone to find someone keen on digital modes who is willing to fire up a station for us on 2m WSPR from the areas in or around Mount Gambier

Of course new 2m WSPR stations anywhere would be good, but in particular we have an area where propagation often heads to where there is no one running 2m WSPR.

Anyone from the area SW of a line between Kingston SE and Warrnambool and around that part of the coast would be very beneficial.

In one way this particular area is rather central to almost all other areas when considering the Bight Path. This area has a very good path to VK6, to Adelaide areas, Melbourne areas and Gippsland, northern VK7, to myself in Sthrn VK2 and potentially other areas where the paths are yet to fully be discovered.

VK5 SE Area.

Even if we could get someone set to receive mode and report what signals may be floating about there would be be handy, of course if someone could transmit that would be a bonus.

I will second Leigh's request. There is a gaping hole in coverage down in SE VK5. With the increased WSPR activity in other areas this summer, we have seen many path openings that simply wouldn't have been noticed without it. SE VK5 really is the "hotspot".

My power bill is noticeably up when I run wspr.
To no avail
and the flaming dual mode 2M radios we used then are ridiculous in price today
twice the price we paid for them
I have an IC821 its pretty useless and it has cost me near $850 to make it hear and work on wspr.

Check my wspr log and you will see I am hearing well out to 400-500km

Great to see you getting active on 2m WSPR from that area. Im beaming your way today and usually am if you see a cold front approaching Adelaide or trough up here, due to the NE wind.
Have not seen you on there today, getting good signals from VK3JTM. Be great to get a few reports from you
