Snap N connector

Post by VK2KYP »

Hi All,
I have just obtained a Alcatel WIMAX base station. Then antenna ports use a female " snap N connector " this is very similar to a standard N connector except it is push on variety and the earth cylinder is slightly smaller.
I would like to make or buy an adapter to standard N type, I am looking for suggestions

Thank you
Merry Christmas

Hi Gary,

The unit I obtained had 5 in total "N" to the 'whatever it was' bulkhead connectors. HUBER+SUHNER branded.
I've pulled everything out of the 'big black box' now. lots of 1-4GHz mixers type MCA1-42MH
Many other 3 terminal RF amplifiers M3007N but, the "00" may be "99" 0r "88" as there is a hole
in the moulding. All that is clear in M3^^7N where "^" may be 2 3 6 8 or 9.
What are the parts:
H472
CR06
perhaps a digitally tunable filter or attenuator. There appears to be 8 lines to program it.
The main Final is a XLF8027S-45, with input 28V 1.1A the label sais +35 dbm which is
well down on the 28W DC imput.

Lots of 90 deg hybrids GSC356-HYB2500 and a dual circulator 2300-2400MHz

Hi Alan, from the web I have been able to identify most of the parts. I believe there is enough parts to make a few transverters if you are willing to cut up the PCB's
The amplifiers are rated at +35dDm plus 8dB. The 8dB comes from some Acatel documentation I found. Which can send a link if you have not seen it.

I have powered my unit up with now smoke.

My unit came from the last trash and Treasure sale at Dural, is this where yours come from?

The H472 are a Hittite programmable attenuator.
