Delta Electronics PS

Post by VK7DX »

Hi all,

Does anyone know the pin out of a Delta 48v 1000w power supply?
model DPS-1001AB-1 A
Looks like its a hot swap thing.
It has 2 large terminals which is probably the 48v then small 24 pins between.
I need to know the pins to turn on and the pins for the 12v(has a 12v 4amp)

Any help appreciated
cheers

Frank,

Have a look at the following: http://www.delta.com.tw/product/ps/sps/ ... AB-1_E.pdf

I am assuming this is the model you have. I believe the E suffix has something to do with its European specifications, rather than the A suffix.

There is a table near the bottom of the page showing the pinout.

Cheers

Thanks Peter for that info.
Still require a little more . How do you turn it on ??
When you plug the unit into the power , there is a relay click but no 48 Volts out .
There is 12Volts on Pins 1and 2 .
At first I thought that the "Short" pin was to turn it on but it is physically a short pin. and it is labeled pskill .

I am not game to try shorting the "pson#" to ground to see what happens .
A circuit would be nice .

Regards.

Hi Frank,
the rear section of that PSU looks a lot like the HP server PSU that I use for 50V. Your 240V input is different but the output section is very familiar.

have a look here for some details of the HP version http://www.bigskyspaces.com/w7gj/HarrisAmps.htm then scroll down the page quite a bit.
