Messages like this can quickly scroll off the screen, and be missed.
Even more so, when this type of stuff is posted on the iChat facility as a throw away line.
It's always better to make announcements like this on the Forum (like Andrew has done), and means it doesn't scroll off the screen before you get around to seeing it, and it's impossible to miss when using the "View New Posts" since your previous visit.
