I have set up a eBay AD9850 DDS card as an signal generator..need to drive an diode mixer, the eBay cards have very low output -5-7dBm, I have a need for a buffer amp with say 17-20dB gain and bandwidth of 1-40Mhz.
Any suggestions where to look for such a buffer amp design ?

One Era-3 from Mini-Circuits, two coupling caps, and a supply resistor for the voltage of choice, and you have it! Couldn't be simpler! Hash it up on an old bit of PCB... and a name would be useful!
