I have not done any of these. its going ok so leave it alone..
Looks like the firmware does not allow these radios to go beyond 470 Mhz.

Your are brave mentioning... "that band"... on here Trent. Whenever I mention... it... I get an inbox filled with much gnashing and wailing. Usually with emails all in upper case with badly spelled swear words.
Thats one of the two reasons I rarely post on here now and tend to stick to global or UK forums.
There is a chart going round the web showing the FT897D (same PCB) band diode link options as per Yaesu. I had it but cant lay my hands on it now. I'll keep looking if your interested. But from memory, it doesnt go over 470.
