Yaesu 8-Pin DIN

Post by VK2PR »

I'm looking for somewhere to buy an 8-pin DIN for the BAND DATA socket on my Yaesu FT-2000.

I bought this one from Jaycar and it doesn't fit.

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... ATID=990#1

So I bought this one from an eBay seller, supposedly for Yaesu, but it doesn't fit.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/261093659211 ... 1497.l2649

Both plugs have slightly different pin positions, so how many different pin configurations are there available in 8-pin DIN's?

Anyone know where to buy this? All the other DIN's were supplied with the radio, except for this one, and now I don't know where else to look.

Thanks for reading.

Interesting that the standard plug from jaycar doesnt fit as they fit all the other ft 817,857,897 yeasu radio's, I would give andrews comms a ring and see what they say.
good luck 73 .

Thanks for the replies. It's not the mini DIN, it's the full size DIN.

Already tried Andrews. They don't sell them, they only sell the mini DIN.
