Not specifically the 28V PSU, but regarding the Mean Well brand ... rather than Mean-Well (with a dash)

Many years ago I bought a Mean Well SP-320-12 from the local authorised agent to power my IC-706MK2G. This was before there was a flood of cheap 12V SMPSU on the market. The label reads "Made in China" and it is "utilitarian" in appearance, but it works well.

The output voltage can be adjusted over the specified range and it never let me down, both on several 2m EME DXpeditions running JT65B from moonrise to moonset, or with occasional use at home on various 100W HF radios.

There was a slight RF hash output that was killed by bypassing the 230V input and 12V output terminals with appropriate disk ceramic capacitors and putting 6 turns of the 12V lead through an "RFI suppression" toroid right at the PSU output terminals.

I'd certainly buy Mean Well again ... and hopefully your Mean-Well will be just as good Adam!

These work very well of 48vdc @ over 2400va, they seem to cover most requirements so 24v dc should be affordable
