QSL card software

Post by VK4BLP »

Just wondering what software others are using for printing the qsl report details and the address details out to a printer ?

I'm using HRD Logbook to store the details, but I'm looking at buying one of those Dymo Labelprinters for another purpose, and would like to print out the qsl report and postal address out on to that, then stick them on to my pre-printed qsl cards.

I'm sure there's others out there who already have got their cards already printed, would like a smarter way (i.e. less manual work) to handle their outgoing qsl cards, and hope that someone out there has already done this.

Whilst more and more use places like e-qsl these days, there's still a lot who prefer that card in their hands.

I have found that QSL Maker works well for me.

Thanks Len, but I found it a bit 'clunky' under Windows 7. ;)

Still couldn't seem to find out where I can just print out the qso details on to a label though.

I make my own in MS publisher then take them to Officeworks for printing. You can have a look at one of mine on my QRZ.com page. I produced a template, now all I have to do is enter the contact details and save the file as a unique file name. My daughter took the background image through my 6" telescope when she was about 6.

I tend to only QSL for EME and significant VHF+ contacts, so the volume isn't huge. For bigger volumes, like on HF, I'd probably tend towards having them printed commercially.

The qsl card part is fine, it is that I want to print the qso part of it on a label to stick on to the qsl card, as well as the recipients address to stick on the envelope when available.

Like your qsl card picture too.

HRDLabel by IW1QLH is designed to work with HRD.
It links to your HRD Logbook and can print out QSO labels and mailing labels.

Thanks Luke, I've been looking at it tonight and just trying to make some sense out of it.

The documentation isn't all that clear to me at the moment.

Hi ,

Apart from QSL Maker there is also a nice freeware program by VA3HJ QSL Design and Print. Much more possibilities than QSLMaker. http://www.va3hj.ca
