Xpol to H/V conversion

Hi,

just wondering has anybody converted a Xpol to Horizontal/ Vertical config? I have a 20 element Maspro Xpol 70cm beam and was thinking of doing away with the RHCP/LHCP for H/V with two feeds.

I'm assuming that these are both 50 ohms? There is a coax power splitter to both pols and then a relay and some RG174 coax which I assume provides the 90 degree phasing (along with the physical offset). I was going to just feed both beams direct. They are folded dipole directors.

I would be interested in any comments or feedback from similar conversions?
