Digital angle meters

Post by VK3AXH »

Note all the comments and yes they were available this last week. I will visit the 3 local stores tomorrow and see what's still available. Note the use for astronomy as well. I previously purchased
several small units from Bunnings but they no longer have them either for around $22 however there are plenty on the web. You can separate them and run them over a long distance which I have
done. My elevation uses a 12 inch actuator which came with a digital readout controller and internal power supply. It has a remote control and 99 memorys. I used the digital spirit level jigger to
indicate the amount of elevation ie say 10 degs then stored this position into memory location 10. I did this for each angle up to 60 degs. On my remote I simply put in the memory location
ie 25 degs, push the enter key and the antenna goes to 25 degs. A cheap and easy method.

If I have any luck at Aldi's I will post info here later tomorrow.
