Hi all, very new to digital modes. I have been playing with 2 X 817's and Signalinks in WSJT7. I am seeing correct decodes, in that they have an "*" in the correct place, but no callsign or message data displayed in the decoded line. What am I doing wrong? Even in sample .wav files I see the correct ping on the display, and time, Sync, db, DT, and Df & w are all shown, but no other display!
Help! Dan VK2GG
No callsign or message data in JT65??
Re: No callsign or message data in JT65??
Hi Dan,
Where are you listening to the JT65? HF, or VHF somewhere? That may determine the variance in protocols. Operation on HF JT65 is pretty much exlusively using the JT65-HF software, so that may not decode properly in WSJT.

Re: No callsign or message data in JT65??
Hi Dan
The (*) after a transmission usually means that there hasn't been enough info decoded to give a proper decode for that line. But the information will accumulate until there is enough to build the complete callsign etc in the Average box just below the main box.
Can u post up some screen shots of what your seeing on the screen ? might make it easier to work out whats happening.
