Hi all..
Has anyone tried the newer program called Opera......another piece of software from the ROS guy...even though the idea was British.
Seems to be in competition with WSPR but you can also have a QSO with it....
I tried it for a few minutes last evening and for me, sorry to say I wont be using it......this programmer has a big problem with his software.....I have mentioned on here before....this newer one uses a very similar front end to ROS and as such is very CPU intensive.....compared to about 4 other programs running a waterfall that use only a Max of about 35% cpu , ROS style programs run up at a consistent 85-95%.......ridiculous....and even run at about 50% CPU without the waterfall..
