Repeater Tropo

Post by VK7HH »

Hi everyone,
Just a quick note to say that VK7RCH is running on Grey Mountain here in the south of the state on 438.575MHz.

It is currently linked to VK7RAA (Mt.Barrow) on 147MHz in the north as well as many other repeaters statewide. I'd like to encourage the use of it during the summer months upcoming. If you hear any VK7 repeater tropo, give it a go and see if you can access it.

We are most interested in reports from VK3 and ZL.

Frequencies:
438.575MHz Output
433.575MHz Input

No Tone

Excellent work Steve. VK7RAC is also linked to VK7RAA/VK7RCH.

The RAA system is statewide. This is the table of repeaters.

West-------------------North West-----------------North East---------South
VK7RWC Mt Read. VK7RAC Table Cape. VK7RAA Mt.Barrow. VK7RCH Grey Mt
147.075MHz. 438.650MHz. 147.000MHz. 438.575MHz

yep it was great also vk7 RMD and RMF a nice intro to troppo
also i got in a number of other repeaters I cant access normally the tally is over 25 from my location its amazing how raising the height of an antenna 4 meters can make such a difference especially with the troppo.. now to set up the beams, I have a 13 element yagi for 2 meters and a 9 element for 70cm. then to get an ssb radio and at least a standard licence so I can go digital modes.
thanks for the encouragement.
cheers
