Where to get Jones plug for Kenpro KR-1000S rotator?

Post by VK4GHZ »

Hi

Just wondering where I might purchase a 6 pin male connector to suit a Kenpro KR-1000S controller?
I have already looked in the Jaycar and RS catalogue and they don't stock them.

Any ideas?

Hi Adam...cannot say for sure but you could try this

Go to http://www.ukw-berichte.de/
then select the button labeled Produkte

then go to the Column Rotoren

and Select Ersatzteile (spare parts).

Seems they have spares for Kenpro. They appear to respond fairly quick to emails but postage and costs could make it unattractive.

But you did ask for idea's.

Thanks Matt, Phil & Gavin (who emailed).

Wanting to finish off the job ASAP, I decided to remove the Jones socket and fit a plain vanilla terminal block on the rear instead.
Not as convenient as a plug/socket, but does the job.

AS A TIP

I picked up a rotator that my OM VK2LBS had and he had fitted a standard flat trailer plug and sockets to the rotator end. It makes for a very easy chase the fault helper and takes the strain off the usually flimsy sockets of the rotators. I will be modifying my other rotators the same way.
