Does anyone know the frequency of the FK8 repeater? I should have it programmed in the rig.

Hi Wayne,

There's two 2m repeaters, I think both serving Noumea, on 146.800, input -600 kHz, and a second on 145.700, input - 600 kHz.
I don't know if either have callsigns or idents.

I'm not aware of any 6m or 70cm repeaters in FK8.

Thank's for that. I have never worked FK on 2m but the repeaters should give an indicator if the path is open. I am not sure if any of the operators have simplex capability.

It seems to ne to be a good path to exploit on all bands above 6m if we can engender some interest.

Repeater from Mont DO (900m) shoud be heard from VK.
A hint: When we hear the VK FM (88 108mhz) on our local stations.
Muggy weather, worm, sunny and summer are the best conditions

I would really like to work FK8 on simplex, either on FM or preferably SSB. Do any of the FK8 have SSB capability on 2m or 70cm?

I will keep listening for the FK repeaters. What is the frequency of your local FM broadcasting station?

Pascal Fk8ia is often on vklogger he is ready ssb on 2m.
Yesterday evening he called on 144100 ssb and 6 meters
Like he's on vaccation (lucky man) he's on line arround 7 am utc
He did pile up on 6 meters when it's open.

The monitoring frequency is 145600 on fm

Any radio this evening, I go to do sport.
