Post by VK2FANG »

Lee Norrish, VK2TLN, passed away in the early hours of this morning. He was found to have died in his sleep by his wife Melanie.

For the amateur radio community, Lee Norrish leaves behind a massive legacy and equal uncertainty among the 70cm community in Sydney.

Lee Norrish was the key person responsible for an exceptional 70cm repeater network which flourished across Sydney over the past few years. His point access to the best commercial RF sites in Sydney enabled him to slip into place linked amateur repeaters at Horsley Park, Kurrajong Heights, Hurstville, Carlingford and the crown jewel of them all, Governer Phillip Tower. The result has been a remarkable contribution not lost on an eternally thankful Sydney 70cm community. The system serves as a powerful reminder of Lee's vision for a peerless 70cm repeater network for the amateur community.

Rest in Peace, Lee.
