Hi
I have tried all the compatibility settings, but hdl-3b4.exe (latest version of HDL-ANT by W1GHZ) just won't run on Windows 7 (64 bit).
Some of the stuff from W1GHZ is so outta date, it ain't funny no more!
It does run on a W7 64 box, providing you have the Windows Virtual PC and then run in XP Compatibility mode... which I don't have on the laptop.
(Funny, when you set the hdl-3b4.exe properties to run in XP SP3 mode, it doesn't work under W7 directly)
Does anyone know of a re-compiled version of HDL_ANT that actually runs on a Windows 7 box, without having to run under the Virtual XP machine???

Re: Running W1GHZ's HDL_ANT on Windows 7 (64 bit)
The easiest solution is to set up the linux distribution of your choice, install "dosbox", then run the binary of hdlant found on the internet. I did this with 64 bit opensuse 11.4.
I found the source code for this program on the internet and attempted to compile it in gcc. Much of the io has be depricated. Even fixing the io issues, there were a good dozen bugs that didn't look simple to fix. Dosbox was the easiest solution. You will also need a postscript printer or converter program
