Just a few piccies of my VK3XDK 5.7GHz transverter.
Peter, trying to get an idea of sizes and looking for suitable enclosures.
Is that the 304x279x88mm "Professional Bench Enclosure" @$59.95 from Jaycar you used?

Yes Adam, thats the one from Jaycar, VK3HZ has also used it and Michael VK3KH, also VK4ALH for transverters and 1296 PA's etc.

See piccies on older logger forums for VK3XPD 1296 amps and also another heading for 1296 transverters.

Its quite roomy and dare I say what you can't fit in you don't need, except maybe for some of the recovered ex commercial PA's most other transverter elements fit in quite easily.

I have left a bit or real estate in the back left hand corner of the 5.7GHz box for Minikits 1Watt PA and heatsink, currently under construction.

Gday Rob ,thanks for the wrap, I have a 4 position rotary switch on the front panel and can monitor system voltage, forward power, reflected power and amplifier voltage, I made the horn feed for a 600 mm prime focus dish I bought at wyong last year ( it was a 24ghz set up , I still have the 24 ghz feed. next project) but for testing procedures I just used it connected as you see in the photo :D cheers 73 mark VK2AMS
