Logging Beacons

Post by VK4JAZ »

Being new to 6m, I'd like to know what is standard practice in the shack with beacons. Do I log them in my logging program (as SWL) or do I leave them? What do you guys do?

I sometimes log them, if they are less common ones. I don't usually log them if they are easily received. It's entirely up to you.

I would agree with Kevin and log those odd/rare beacons.

Mind you anything at this QTH it would be called odd/rare anyway.

Have fun with 6m :D

How long is a piece of string???

Log to suit yourself... and with Es, you'll eventually come to the conclusion that Es are predictably unpredictable during Summer, and, to a lesser extent, Winter.

Outside of local VK/ZL/FK beacons, log all of the real DX!
