HF antenna's and boats...

Hello.

I'm after some advice for HF antenna's on a small yacht. At this stage, I'm considering a whip of some sort (prefer not to use the backstay). My atu too will only accept coax (LDG ATU897), so long wires aren't possible with the current equipment.

I guess at a minimum, the Mobile 1 ae's mounted at the usual spot off the back would work ok on 40/20/15/10. I guess I could use my Terlin Outbacker too? Anyway, interested in hearing anyone's experience with this sort of thing and what may or may not of worked for you.
