Re: Danger of RF to pacemakers and other medical devices
Wayne Err on the side of caution. I understand that Australia is particularly litigious so I would suggest seeking approval to operate with the proviso that you: 1) Post multiple hazard signs warning people with medical implants, etc that to enter the "zone" could be hazardous to their hea...

...after that we get hit with 15% G.S.T on the lot. If Australians are stupid enough to return the ALP to power in September, we can look forward to an increase in GST to fund their financial incompetence. ... so we will be catching up to you! Murphys Law... Re: Import Duty???
Wow
We only have a NZ$400 (AU$316!!!) limit for g.s.t exemption, after that we get hit with 15% G.S.T on the lot.
Mind you we are allowd to run 1kw on most bands (vs your 400watts) so I guess we win some and loose some.

Re: ZL VHF/UHF/SHF DX Contest This Weekend
OK On 23cm I have two setups. Both onlt 1 watt. 1296.2 and handheald 23cm FM both feeding the Horisontal beam. Doubt if I will get a contact on 23 as my view south os obstructed. I get thorough on 2mt purly because of ERP. (lots of gain and a few tens of watts) Will be happy to make CHCH on 70 and e...

Steve
Re fitting the gear into wagon. One reason I still have my LC100 after 316,000km's but even it's too small at times.
Keen to know if the dish for 5.7 is an Andrews one.

Re: ZL VHF FD this weekend
Willdo. It's going to be a rough night for me too. Ususllay I spend all night getting poles and ant up (on my own) then operate next day. This time I am puting the pole up tomorrow but no feeders as there are copper thieves lurking despite it being locked gate access! Just got to figure how I can ma...
