Was interesting to look at aprs.fi spots, where each showed a steady line of gradual descent then ascent steps again as it climbed back up after substantial time grounded. If there was no human assistance to re-launch - What are the conspiracy theories for 'Lazarus' to rise again

Interesting point John. It has been slowly descending from 8000 to 1000 over last 3-4 hours as it hugged ZL coastline.
Pity if it is damaged. Was looking forward to 'Around the World in 80 Days' effort

Still seeing faint snail trails, but last decode @ 256km & 20mins bak.

First decodes were near Canberra, switched from yagi to vert and was better. Good decodes since abt 136km out. Solid greens atm @ 100k.

I have always just used a fishing rod, light line and small ball sinker.
Cupla practice shots maybe, if your not a 'fisho', but it's still quite easy and accurate.

I finaly installed my new 1296mhz whip antenna above 6m beam and am (are?) QRV.
but, Vertical pol. and FM only.
Happy to try any tests Illawarra/Sydney, if any interest.
