Re: External battery power source for laptop
Jaycar have laptop universal chargers that run off 12v(battery,ps etc)
You will need to know the laptop voltage then select off the universal charger.

Re: Tower accomplished- now, how to mount to solid rock?
Hi again Brian, If you rebolt the 3 plates/stubs back onto the tower and refit the 3 lengths of tube that were holding the 3 base plates together. Once bolted then weld them so they cannot move then you can weld the rebar/thredded rod to each base leg. Then you can unbolt from tower. You now have a b...

Re: Tower accomplished- now, how to mount to solid rock?
Hi Brian, The threaded rod and grout is the best way.just mix the grout with plenty of cement. I would weld the threaded rod to the base that you have, level it as close as possible then after grouting you can get the final level using a plumb bob and spacers at the tower mounting points. Re: Cheap Power Supplies
Why do you need 20A @12VDC if you are only permitted 10W output power? The PA in your radio must be very inefficient.... perhaps an upgrade, perhaps wants to run more gear off the same ps but remember you are talking to a new call and a 14 year old who is trying to set up. He needs positiv...

Hi Adam,
perhaps steel number/letter punches, the type used for stamping numbers on chassis.
Warm on stove and carefully place on button.Experiment with temp and test on another piece of plastic.
These punches are available at auto supply shops and Ebay.
Good luck
