Re: Kenpro KR-400RC dial spinning fault
My KR-400RC has issues also. most of the time turning clockwise it gets to about 30 degrees north then the needles takes off anticlockwise till it hits south and wont turn no further. I can stop it sometimes by hitting the CW button rapidly until it turns back. Anyone come across this and found a fi...

Re: Yaesu FT-847 digital problem
Yes. What it is the UDO4YA will do digital on FM and AM modes. Ssb is done via the data socket using a stereo plug. Its simple to make using the mic and speaker outputs from your pc. On the speaker line i put a 1k ohm resistor because a direct connection is too much audio therefor the radio will not...

I might buy a 6 pin socket from jaycar and use the mic for starters and if all is well maybe find a way to test the 6 oin socket on the radio.

Re: Yaesu ft847 digital problem
Yes it is connected with the 6 pin plug into the pkt socket. Frustrating. I been through the menus and tried all i can think of and even send the cable back to uk for replacement thinking thats where the problem was but the new cable is the same. Be unlikely to get 2 faulty cables.

Hi Wayne. I have HS-5 Kenwood headphones. Had mine for about 20 years. They work fine on cw feel pretty comfortable to wear. I have tried padded ones over the years but always pick up the HS-5 whenever I want headphones. Just feel better all round. Cheers.

Re: HIGH PRICE OF OUR LICENCE !!
I think that $75 for the amount of entertainment and fun communicating with fellow hams local and around the world in many different way and the fun of experimenting with new ideas and technology is really not asking too much. $75 for a tank of fuel lasts you maybe 1 week, $75 for your licence last ...
