Hi all,
I can be QRV on Saturday night and Sunday morning on 10Ghz from home if anyone would like QF32. I have the horizon to my West thru to the South, (270 to 180 degs). But are happy to try from any direction.

Re: GPS freq lock- Trimble Thunderbolt?
Hi Bryon, I feed my Trimble output into a home-built 106.5MHz Synth as I have the kit built Kuhne transverter, and the synth is designed to accept a nominal 10dBm 10MHz input. I measured my Trimble on my oscilloscope and I had a little over the Trimble spec 12.5dBm figure; about 13.2dBm from memory...

Re: AlfaSpid Rotator Dealer
Hi Michael,
I emailed alfa spid last night and had a reply the next morning with a quote. So a good start with confidence in their service.
Yes our dollar is attractive at the moment so probably the best option for me.
thanks for your advice,

AlfaSpid Rotator Dealer
Hi All anyone know of an Australian agent for Alfa Spid rotators? I know Kev 4KKD was some time ago but I suspect he no longer has the dealership? My rotator decided to rotate it self instead of rotating the array due to the mounts becoming loose! The cast housing is destroyed. :( I'm in need urgent...

I received my order for a rig runner unit from West Mountain Radio (USA) just yesterday , package arrived in six days of placing my order. Excellent service and obviously the good exchange rate is well worth it.

Re: Thinking of getting a Portable computer for digital modes
Tom,
just to add, I used to use an IBM R31 notebook ( with a USB / Serial Adapter ) with a IC706, never had a problem on 144 at least, but again the Dell D500 with my FT817 is a different story at this stage!

Re: Thinking of getting a Portable computer for digital modes
Hi Tom, I've kinda touched on this subject awhile ago and really don't have any real conclusive results as yet, as I've been experimenting with an FT817 with a Dell Latitude D500 notebook. But so far my testing results have all failed due to the noise emitted from the notebook into the Yeasu at noth...

Weather Station on your tower
Hi All, I'm wondering if anyone has had experience installing and using a wind anemometer up on top of their tower and then fed back into a weather station in the shack? Like a lot of the home weather stations they do have a 'wireless' feature on 433Mhz which is kinda bad for us. But I'm told if you...

Re: 3XPD 1296 amp setups
Thanks David and Leigh Truthfully I haven’t completely tested it yet, Will let you know my results, need to catch up with Rob 3EK to borrow some test gear, and of course a couple of QSO’s would be handing too. I have placed a power meter on the output, yes the P/O does increase when the AMP is inlin...

Re: Coax Relays 1296
Thanks Owen,
I'm currently using Tohtsu CX-520d relays for 2 and 70, but for 23cm I suspect these relays maybe at the upper limits of there specifications. I'm seeking advice on what others are using for the 23cm band?
Thanks for your website info Owen, I'll check it out
