Re: IC910 fade on LCD

Hi Adam, Thanks for the update. I look forward to what you come up with. however in the meantime, I would like to know which are the two associated resistors so that I can assess my next steps. I am comfortable with experimenting but am hoping not to have to "re-invent the wheel" if you ha...

Re: IC910 fade on LCD

Hi Adam, I was wondering if there was a document of some kind with the information I need. If you produce a movie of the fix I will definitely watch some of the ads that go with it! In my case the issue is that on the top row of the LCD the first digit fades after about 15 minutes, such that "1...

IC910 fade on LCD

Hi All,
I have seen reference to a "two-resistor contrast modification" for the IC910. Can someone point me to any documentation to this mod?
Thanks!

2020 Winter Field Day

Hi All,
I'm planning to go to Howells Knob on Saturday for the afternoon session of the Field Day (1100 - 1800 aprox).
I'll have 2m, 70cm & 23cm.
Will not be able to go there on Sunday morning.
Does this clash with any other plans?

Re: Queensland Floods

Hi all,
The Sunshine Coast Amateur Radio Club (VK4WIS) will not set up a field day station at Howells Knob this time because our van is now on standby as a WICEN asset. However, some of us will operate from home and enter the 24 hour home station section.

Re: Dick Smith "Lab" Power supply Q1755

I've got two of them now - both working well. The second one was labelled "Repaired" and I got it for $79. I use one on my FT-897 and the other powers my 23cm transverter.

Re: Dick Smith "Lab" Power supply Q1755

Hi Terry and others interested, I mentioned above that I was thinking of getting another PSU from Dick Smith. Instead I found a new line of Soanar switch mode PSUs at Jaycar. I got a 12V 100W unit. It is adjustable from about 9.5V to 13.5V and the voltage regulation is such that at 8 Amps the output...

Re: Dick Smith "Lab" Power supply Q1755

Hi Terry,
I have used one of these for about a year, and like it! It generates no discerable hash and runs silent most of the time. I run my FT897 on it and am thinking of getting another one to run my 1296MHz transverter.
