Or build one of these for a DC path to ground. Either the 1:1 or the 4:1

Re: IC706 MK2 G Fault
Hi Had some time today to check out my IC706 MK2. Removed the PLL board (on the base of the radio and towards the front of the unit), there is 6 screws to remove. 5 for the PCB itself and another screw holding down a TO220 cased device near the front of the radio. Plus the clip on the LHS as previou...

Re: Yagi Insulators - Suggestions ?
Built a number of YU7EF yagis for 2m. All 6 of them I have used glue lined heatshrink. Obviously adjusted element length to reflect the mounting method. Details for the dimension difference is found on Pops website. How I constructed the yagis is found here http://members.iinet.net.au/~pearsons@aapt...

Once you are done with EME (Moon Bounce) well lets try ESE (Satellite bounce) or EIE (ISS Bounce)
Not on 2M but on 23cm.

Similar experiences with Excel composites.
Cheap, designed to your dimensions, wall thickness.....
They actually made a mandrel for my job (tapered tubing)
Delivery included came out very reasonable indeed

Re: VF of Semi Rigid RG402 (.141") Cable?
I'm sure Jayson is needing 50 ohm coax for the amp outputs to the coax Wilkinson combiner input. The Wilkinson combiner is made of 75ohm coax and each input is joined to the output of the amp with a half wave 50 ohm coax. Rightly as stated in the pdf found in the thread mentioned, on page 4 http://h...

A good article on stacking different band yagi's in close proximity to each other is

I know not the Question here (2x70cm yagi's) but may come in handy for some readers here

Just passing on some information from Moon-Net Some positive news about the 2.3GHz band from an RSGB briefing: “Whilst the central section of the 2.3GHz band (at 2350-2390MHz) is being removed from the UK amateur licence due to ‘spectrum release’ changes, we have negotiated access to a new segment a...

Yes your right Bob, 1.2 is very good, just thought I see if I could get it better. Did it affect the performance? Would be hard to pick it.

Re: Can't find the low SWR point
John I agree with Bob. I recently built a 21 element DK7ZB 70cm yagi for portable work. With 50w have been having some fun off the moon. Including 1 CW QSO. This yagi packs down to no longer 1500mm, ideal for aircraft travel etc. Anyhow, when building it I cut the DE about 2.5mm long per side. It is...

Re: Diplexers where to put at radio or on mast
Depends on which way round you are using it, One antenna (dual band) to two radios - then use one low loss cable to unit in shack to both radio's. OR Two antennas to one radio - then use at the antenna in a water proof box, that way can still use only the one low loss cable to the dual band radio. R...

VK4TI, maybe yours is a STOLLE brand rotator
VK5TX, There maybe adjustment (end of travel adjustment) pots underneath or inside. May just have got out of range, and hence can only turn one way. Just a guess.

Re: Kenwood HS-5 Headphones
Wayne I use the HS-5 for CW. The BEST by far for CW, nice audio roll off to cater for the CW enthusiast. Use mine extensively for weak signals on 2m, which is backed up with a MFJ DSP audio filter. Recently used on SSB and could not hear the CW station, so plugged the HS-5's in and signal popped rig...

Seems not interested in assisting or AR.
Have not tried ringing him
A real pity, his products were well designed and put together.
Hope all is OK
