first thing I would do if it was mine, is another FULL reset but do not load any settings from before, check radios operation in this 'naked' state, there might have been a corruption in the saved setting and it may have tried to set a weird IF offset to the radio or corrupt and RF path ...

While troubleshooting an issue with no audio o/p on pin 3 of the ACC2 connector, I decided to carry out a full reset.
I then used MCP2000 to reload memories, menus etc.
After disconnecting the PC to rig connection, I re-powered the rig and all memories/menu settings/functions appeared to be present ...

Compare that with the 20 year old technology of the TS2000X where you get 5 PTT lines with individual power controls for HF, 6, 2, 70 and 1.2

Those Kenwood Engineers from the late 90's really knew what they were doing!

Yet another good day with moderate Es (drop the apostrophe folks!! ) and almost all sigs here in the West were V2.
None of the sigs were suitable for SSB apart from one or 2 ZL stns which were particularly strong for a period.

Today most stations on 6m FT8 appear to be on WSJT Version 2.0
