Here's what I get.
1202 -19 0.4 1816 @ VK3YT18936O?0
1203 -18 0.1 1816 @ 1/ 721I 4?MB.
So, now the the next challange , what do I do with the data ?

Re: PS-46 PICO balloon HF payload WSPR JT9
At last my first JT9 decode from a balloon !
1032 -27 0.5 1821 @ VK3YT17536O?0
I don't have the plug in to WSJT-X so I cannot upload it. (I'm running on a Mac)

Andy,
I turned it on later and it updated the database.
Database shows the following.

Re: PS-44 PICO balloon HF payload WSPR JT9
Andy, Based on the screen shot attached ,, sorry no, it was turned off. I run both WSPR-X and WSJT-X at the same time to the one radio so don't always turn it on. (or forget to) which was the case here. }:[ But I am thrilled at getting a decode at -31dB , that's properly the weakest signal for me so...

Does anyone know about the balloon launched from VK2 this morning.
It seems to be moving.
Cannot find any information

Re: PS-44 PICO balloon HF payload WSPR JT9
David, Yes but as you can see from the receive strength on the WSPR its down at the limit of my equipment. (-31dB) Got part of a trace of JT9 on the half hour but it was probably the antenna rotating in the wind. It didn't decode. Have chased it down to 10Mhz also but get better signal on 20M curren...

Watching track now on habhub.
Site has 2 balloons up. PS-44 and PS-45 - is this correct ?
Shows PS-44 using JT9 .. dial freq ?

Re: Change WSPR Receive window -Question
Grant, No that sounds fine. I still wonder why send a WSPR signal outside the decode band, when the purpose it be be heard and decoded. Everyone else would be using the default. I've been able to decode it and sent a PM to them to ask. They may end up here to answer it. It's a Big signal , odd harmo...

Re: Change WSPR Receive window -Question
As soon as you hit enter you get that thought , "maybe if I did ...." Well I answered my own question. change the RX BFO and the window adjusts accordingly. Screen Shot 2015-05-10 at 12.46.23 pm.png Grant, good answer , that would have done it also. (yes, I hadn't thought about that !) But...

Change WSPR Receive window -Question
Hopefully this is a quick answer, How do I change the WSPR receive window so that I can decode outside of the normal WSPR band ? I have a signal coming up on 6M that is very local to me and I would like to work out who it is. It's outside of the WSPR "Green" receive band. How do I wary the...

Re: Windom Antenna Adjustments - help please
Thank too all who responded . Yes I have a current Balun (Tet-Emtron 4:1 1kW PEP Current Balun). It seems to be working correctly. My issue was with the end effect and to multiply the maths by 0.96 to shorten the antenna calculations slightly. I work until late (6 - 6:30pm) , so it's late to start p...

Re: Windom Antenna Adjustments - help please
VK3ALB (Lou), I made the 4:1 balun, but it was from a kit. (but you have to wind it , so more like an expensive shopping list :) )seems to work fine. But to be sure I'm going to disconnect the lengths of SS wire and put a 200 ohm , 10 watts resistor across it and measure it's response. I'm on to the...

Re: Windom Antenna Adjustments - help please
Wayne, I looked at those but they worked out to be $169 delivered (A$ - US$ movement changes that). I had the insulators from years ago, and Stainless Steel wire and swages from another project with a shade sail that didn't go ahead. I purchased the Tet-Emtron 4:1 balun kit as I also have a Bushcomm...

Re: Windom Antenna Adjustments - help please
Found it.
http://www.eham.net/articles/23802
Seems it a correction factor for a "Practical" antenna, rather than the figures derived from an antenna in free space.
See, there is an "Art" factor in there after all.
So what figures do you use ?

Re: Windom Antenna Adjustments - help please
Well I had some time today to read up on antenna fundermentals and discovered something interesting. American articles on "OCF Dipoles" {see.. PC now !} use the formula of L= 468/F (Mhz) e.g. 468/7.1 Mhz = 65.9154 Feet However, I use the more scientific measure of a metric (rather than the...

Re: Windom Antenna Adjustments - help please
Wayne, Thanks, I made a Windom as I needed a multi band antenna and could only have one due limited in space. As it turns out my carport (which was once a veranda some 100 years ago) is q bit longer than length of a 40 Meter dipole. (approx 22 meters). So that plan is to mount it via some stand offs...

Windom Antenna Adjustments - help please
Hello, I built a Windom antenna this weekend and was wondering if anyone has experience with this type of antenna ? It's basically a 40 meter dipole fed at the 67% and 33% point. 4:1 Balun. SS wire and copper swages. What is the process the adjust SWR, which end first and how to get it to resonate o...

Re: PS-43 PICO balloon HF payload WSPR JT9
Thanks for the answers. So there is no JT65 then , only WSPR and JT9 ? Key point to turn it to JT9 only in order to get it to decode below 2500. Didn't see that in any docs !! Thanks Doug, Didn't understand the comment about " not advisable to set it to JT9+JT65 when looking at HABs unless the ...

MAC OS X support for Digital Modes
Hi,
Is anyone running a MAC out there using Digital Modes.
I have WSJT-X and WSPR-X running but they don't support FSK441.
I'm watching the spots on 2M and 6M on the weekend mornings (Meteor Scatter) and really would like to play too !
