Re: 13CM SGlabs + 55W PA

Hi Scott,

Xlnt review on IC-705, nice rig.
SGLabs Tvrtrs are brilliant, especially for $$$. Makes easy path onto 23/13/9

Hilary is there an easy path onto 10Ghz? (easy also = low $$$)

13CM SGlabs + 55W PA

Hi all,

Just boxed up my spare 13CM SGLabs tvrtr with a newly acquired (Ebay) 55W Khune PA.
My other 13CM unit is working into a Spectrian (Pyro Joe type) 25W PA.
Starting to see more activity on 23/13/9 from Sydney which is great.

Re: SG Labs 3400MHz Txvtr

Hi Tim, I finally received my Mini-Circuits Preamp and fitted. I ordered the 362-LN from Clarke & Seven (AU) was $165 free post. They had to import, but must have stocked up. Ted VK2ARA order only took a few days to get. The 3800-LN version is listed at $301, but higher specs and bit wider. This...

Re: SG Labs 3400MHz Txvtr

Hi Tim, I fitted switch for the preamp, but it is still 'in the mail' Was 2 weeks delivery, then advised June. ZX60-362LN-S+ -Mini Circuits LNA 3300-3600 MHz I think Hayden has used these, not sure how he found them. Hilary said he is also getting close. Working Ted VK2ARA with 2W locally, but he ha...

Re: SM3437 3.4 GHz amplifier everything you what to know

Hi Hayden,

Thanks for fast reply.
Amp only draws 145mA when 12V applied and no change when 5V I/O triggerd. We got the amps about 18 months ago.
The warranty seal opened to inspect internals, so a return is prob not on.

Cheers,
Darrell

Re: SM3437 3.4 GHz amplifier everything you what to know

Hi Hayden Ted VK2ARA and I have just completed boxing up our Stealth 3437 amps + SGLabs 3.4Ghz transverters. We both purchased the same 3437 amps from same supplier a while back and both came as new and sealed. Problem is, one amp works ok and draws 8.5 amps when 12V attached and 5V TTL I/O operates...

Stealth 3437 AMP CIRCUIT DIAGRAM

Hi Gents,
Does anyone have a circuit diagram for the 3.4 Ghz Stealth 3437 Amp.
We have two new(ish) amps, one works fine, using SGLabs 3.4G tvrtr and one won't fire up, so need to look under the bonnet.
Can only find the .pdf for specs online so far.
Any help appreciated.

Cheers,

Re: Remote PTT for SGLabs Transverter

Keep the Forums going... My FT817 does not have an accessory socket like my FT100D, where I can get a hard wired PTT from the rig while utlizing the Data & ACC Mini Din sockets for something else. On the FT817 You can pick up (tx gnd) & (gnd) pins from the ACC Mini Din to use for external PT...

Re: Remote PTT for SGLabs Transverter

Hi Hayden, The grey junction box previously housed my 13CM SGLabs Tvrtr. I use a custom built length of LMR400 + N connectors ordered from 'Times Microwave', (excellent quality). The short length of LMR400 connects via N:SMA patch leads in the weatherproof JBox, then the SMA's fit through a 'smallis...

Remote PTT for SGLabs Transverter

Hi, in an effort to maintain the ongoing life of Logger Forums, here is a small 'Show & Tell' contribution. I recently completed my 13CM Spectrian amp upgrade based around an SGLabs transverter/FT817 and the 'PyroJoe' 30W amp board (eBay). Big thanks to info from VK2.. VK3.. VK4.. VK5.. VK7.. et...

Re: VK1RGI seen in QF56if

VK1RGI was in this morning for over an hour. Just above the noise, but 'car alarm' siren clear. Able to read CW ident a couple of times. Approx 215K from QF55kk
Faded out about 10.00(ish). Now I know where to point beam (24 el loop).

Nice work Hayden,

Very helpful, video details crisp and clear on U-tube full screen.

It's good when you can read part numbers

Wanted: VK3ATL Geelong 3.4 GHz Panels Did you pickup one of these but never converted it?
