IC-7700 IF OUT?
Hi guys, with all the SDR gear on the market I thought I might dip my toes in. I was looking at getting an SDRplay and using it as a second receiver for the IC-7700. The only issue is finding an IF out on the 7700. I have done a lot of trawling the internet and the closest I have got is a mod for th...

Re: Hackers from above
I agree with DXE. Also I read recently about someone who was arrested for inserting a bit of lead into someone's drone.

Re: Remembrance Day Contest 2015
I did the full 24hr stint and had a great time. I think I got about 3hrs sleep all up. 40m was the best band for me followed by 80m. It was great to work some people on 160m (especially between 0100 - 0600). Ended up with 420points.

Programming IC-T70A
Hi guys, I have a IC-T70A that I am trying to program via pc. I purchased a FTDI USB lead from E-Bay (OPC-i478). I have the CS-T70 software and have also tried Chirp. The issue seems to be that the program is not getting a response from the radio. The error is as follows. No answer from transceiver....

IC-7700 to Ultra Beam Controller
Hi Guys. I am wondering if I can connect my IC-7700 to my (new) Ultra Beam controller via the RS232 port on the radio. I am already using the standard CI-V port to connect to the radio. Also the cable that came with the antenna is for a Yaesu and is DB9 male to DB9 female. Would I be able to use thi...

Re: RFI from Solar inverters! "Not happy Jan ! "
Hi Joe,
I have turned the router off and everything else that I could think of and the noise is still there. It goes away at night so I am pretty sure it is a solar setup.

Re: RFI from Solar inverters! "Not happy Jan ! "
Hi guys I know this is a bot of an old thread but recently started getting interference from what I am 90% sure is a solar inverter. The reason I am pretty sure is that the interference goes away at night. I have submitted the appropriate form to the ACMA for them to hunt it down. Have a watch of th...
