Re: Help!!...NBN Interference
Okay update: NBN appointed technician for 'insurance' jobs came and installed the new ODU on the roof that was second hand but had spent some time in the Erikson engineering section. He did this after confirming that it was the ODU and not the SM power supply WIFI etc. It has improved the situation ...

Re: HELL on Tuesday!
Yes I nearly forgot it was Tuesday as well after a busy ANZAC Day! 5 stations on Myself, VK3EDM, VK2EIK, VK5ZT and another. Propagation was poor and I was distracted by a shack visit from local F call VK3FETS who enjoyed seeing the contacts and the doubling where you could read two stations over the...

Re: The future for amateur radio in VK
Yes Wayne I agree only use the power you need should underlie this as it does in the US with their 1500W PEP limit. However I bet there are times when more power on CW or RTTY than 120W would have allowed a contact to be made. PS I don't see why contests are special? I would think a contact needed o...

Re: The future for amateur radio in VK
The 1KW high power SSB trial completion included, if my memory serves me, a line from the ACMA saying that not many applied for the trial so it can't be of much interest........ :eh: This was wrong, the trial was promoted as just that, a trial for a few to try, it cost more $ and the implication was...

Re: HELL on Tuesday!
Another good night on Tuesday I logged on 1500hz: VK2DUX VK7BEN VK7MA VK2XTC and on 1000hz VK5RM I also heard/saw a VK3? early on who didn't call back in, a VK4WIS?? and I believe a VK7FGMG was RXing. Very interesting to see and hear the differences between signals and to see the VK7s disappear at s...

Re: Help!!...NBN Interference
Paul, did you complain to your ISP about it (provider complaints) or via another avenue? I have also complained, got through provider complaints and in theory NBN now have it logged as a 'Service Fault' and will contact me in their own good time.........ie not yet. Paul not heard a peep back ...

Re: HELL on Tuesday!
I quickly cobbled together a mobile station - TS480HX - old laptop and a mobile whip on boot lid and operated from Nyora in Sth Gippsland. Decodes for the time I spent on air were good VK2EIK / VK2DUX. I still need to get smoother with operating FLdigi though...... See you all next week from the hom...

Re: HELL on Tuesday!
nice screen shot, I didn't take one but the VK2's were better than this at my QTH and the VK3's with IF DSP noise reduction were black letters on pure white background with no phasing (slanting of writing) issues at all two lines of text like they were typed on the screen, very impressive. I await a...
