Re: 70cm 1200 AFSK Tlm
Hi John,
Sprout and Cubebug-1 maybe worth a look at.
Its been a while since I checked but this site indicates they are still active http://www.asahi-net.or.jp/~ei7m-wkt/satslisj.htm
I will have a listen on the next suitable pass.

Re: PS-63 PICO balloon HF JT9 WSPR
Thanks for another Pico balloon Andy  I enjoy observing the telemetry data received from these flights. A couple of graphs showing profiles on some telemetry stats. Battery voltage becomes very critical with temperature as we all know. There is missing data data between 0100 and 0500 utc maybe...

Re: cut a smooth round hole in front panel
Peter I have successfully used hole saws with a drill press. If you can remove the panel and clamp it carefully face down to a clean block of wood. When drilling apply pressure very slowly and apply cutting oil and it should work ok. I have used this method for sheet aluminium many times. Make sure ...

Great flight Andy. More interesting when it crosses over the equator and stirs up our usa and europe friends :D Yes John antennas are back in action, we had some bad bush fires which sent our feathered friends our way to munch on our local pine trees Bob do I sense a drifter happening ???? :J Thanks...

It may also be someone experimenting with the FSQ mode, it does sound a bit like JT65

Re: PS-57 PICO balloon HF JT9 WSPR
Great flight Andy well done
A summary of flight details (data from habitat payload telemetry)
Approx flight time: 686 hrs
Average Speed: 59.4 km/hr
Maximum speed: 136.8 km/hr
A bizarre approximate final landing area for PS-57 was grid reference MH80
Thanks again

Re: Flat strip driven elements on 6m.
I made this simple cheap bending jig from parts in the back yard shed. You need to find the correct pulley size to ensure correct spacing. I practiced on several off cuts and you must allow for the 'spring" effect. More details from this website : http://www.ifwtech.co.uk/g3sek/diy-yagi/dipoles...

Re: Satellites - Some newbie questions
Another method used is to mount both 2m and 70cm on the same boom. (as per pic). 30 degree elevation will be plenty for your experiment. To reduce fading on signals caused by polarization change you could also mount the antennas with a 45 degree slant, this method is also popular. Thanks for your co...

Re: Some newbie questions
Hi Wayne, FO-29 or Fuji Oscar 29 (Jas-2) is a great SSB bird to work and well done for your contact with Rob. 1. How accurate does the elevation have to be? It will be difficult to continuously change it throughout the pass using my rope method. Would setting it at the average elevation for the pass...
