Hi Chris,
Watched your youtube clip and I had similar annoying noise. I tracked mine down to be a noisy D-Link router switch in my own home
Hope you get to the cause of yours.

Re: PS-30 PICO balloon HF payload
PS-30 still progressing well, last decode at 19:10utc by ZS6AF and ZS4TX. The quality of this foil balloon must be very good.

Re: PS-30 PICO balloon HF payload
Glad to see that PS-30 is still in flight. I have two receivers listening on 20m and 30m on jt9. Yesterday I set up one of my Dad's rigs at his qth (vk5pp) on 20m as well, 5 element yagi, currently beaming west, short path. Not sure if long path maybe better ?? Good luck PS-30, hope to decode you so...

Re: PS-30 PICO balloon HF payload
PS-30 progressing well, currently at +8500m over NZ south Island. Not having much luck receiving any of the telemetry here conditions have not been good. However ZL1RS and VK4RV have been doing a great job receiving and uploading the data.

Re: PicoHorus V: The VK5's Strike Back!
Thanks to your team Mark, it was fun tracking it for a while. Noticed some frequency drift during the flight, not sure if that was due to temperature or Doppler or perhaps both. Received a good signal for most of the flight, lost it at 6500m altitude. Looking forward to the next one :D 73 vk5ei - joe

Re: PicoHorus V: The VK5's Strike Back!
Hi Mark, received telemetry from your 2 balloons last week, strong signal and was easily decoded using fldigi. Would be great to send one over to Andy :D On 14th Aug 2014 one of Andy's balloon was 5km from my qth and then did a few circles over s.a. I think it didnt want to go back home :J Look forw...

Re: Parasitic lindenblad
Should be ok, make sure the coax feed is good quality and short length to radio.
A 70cm Helix design that is being used at Southhampton Uni, England, on their sdr radio is working well. More info at http://g8jnj.webs.com/currentprojects.htm

Great fun Andy, very interesting tracking your balloon payload, still getting wspr reports coming thru on 30m. Might be hanging from a tree branch
Will look out for your next one.
