Well, it looks like you've left the coverage area! Nice job on the flight!
Any pictures of the board? Keen to see how TTN coverage is around here, perhaps on an upcoming balloon launch. I have a few 915 MHz LoRa modules, but haven't had the chance to play with them yet.

Re: LoraWAN Pico balloon Mel-Syd
Hi Andy! Yep, long-time no chat! We are still launching occasionally over here in VK5, now using a new MFSK mode (horus binary - https://github.com/projecthorus/horusbinary ) as our primary telemetry modulation. Performs ridiculously well, and is *much* faster than using text-based modes like Olivia...

Re: LoraWAN Pico balloon Mel-Syd
Any information on the tracker used?
I've been considering flying something like this for a while here in VK5, but I was never quite sure on how it fit within the TTN fair-use scheme.
Also, it spams the hell out of the tracker map with TTN ground stations!

Re: Horus Balloon Launch 26-Jan for International Space Uni
It was a bit of a hike to the payload, but it was recovered just fine!
We ended up DFing our way to the payload, and DFing our way back to the cars (I had set up a small beacon on the car prior to the hike).

Re: Possible Balloon Launch 26th May 11:30AM - Willunga, SA
All recovered, but it was certainly one hell of a recovery! The balloon was underfilled, so ascended much slower than intended, and hence travelled much further. As you would have seen, it landed in Ngarkat Conservation Park, and we had to 4WD in then hike to recover the payload. There are some maps...

Possible Balloon Launch 26th May 11:30AM - Willunga, SA
Hi all, It's looking likely there will be a high-altitude balloon launch on the 26th of May (Tuesday), launching around 11:30AM CST. The launch is being conducted by some staff and students from the Willunga High School in Willunga, South Australia, launching from the school oval. I'm helping out wi...

Re: PicoHorus V: The VK5's Strike Back!
The balloon we used was quite old. We were intending for it to burst/float around 37km, but only got 31km!
Oh well, another balloon landing in Ngarkat Conservation Park...
Thanks for tracking guys!

PicoHorus V: The VK5's Strike Back!
"PicoHorus V: The VK5s Strike Back" will be launching from the Adelaide Hills at about 8AM on Saturday, the 15th of November. The payload will be a single PicoHorus flight computer, transmitting 50 baud RTTY on 434.650MHz USB. It will ascend (very) slowly, with a planned float around 38km ...

Re: TYT TH-9800
So my TYT TH-9800 failed today. I haven't done much testing on it yet, but the symptoms are the same as the failure I had in my Wouxun UV920P (http://rfhead.net/?p=539) No output power, and the PA stage gets very hot during transmit. Receive is fine. The radio has *exactly* the same amplifier chain ...

Re: VK5RSB repeater
Very, very rarely used. Most of us hang out on the VK5RSB 70cm repeater.
We've had vague discussions about linking the 6m and 23cm repeater. Would anyone be interested in this?

Re: Pico-Horus balloon.
Not really quite right for the Satellites section of the forum, but anyway. Thanks to all for tracking, we wouldn't have know where it went without you guys! From the last bits of telemetry I got from VK1OD, it looked like the payloads battery dropped too low, and entered a reboot loop, then died. S...

Re: UPDATE: HORUS-26 & 27 Balloon Repeater This Sunday @ WIA
I can confirm that the Horus 27 telemetry payload will be on 434.650MHz USB . You will be need to select 'DARKSIDE' from the drop-down payload list in dl-fldigi to be able to decode it. Horus 26 (the WIA launch) will be on 434.075MHz USB , and you will need to select 'HORUS' from the dropdown list. ...

Re: Project Horus FM Rptr Balloon Flight on Sun 15th April 2
Well, the payloads have landed and been recovered successfully! We had around 40-50 unique stations call in on the repeater, with about 70 contacts logged. We're still compiling the list (in the back of a car at the moment), and will publish some visualisations of the data when we're done. Keep watc...

Congrats on the launch!
Looks like Loki needed more heat-sinking though, I'm seeing average temps around 50 degrees, and spikes to 80 degrees!
