When I tried to find all Australian ais station listed it shows only 2 pages but button on bottom shows pages 1 to 9.You can go to second page and no more.When I was complaining to them about this problem nothing has been changed.Not mentioned about replay which usually does not come at all.Really s...

Have a look at today´s reception by VK4XPX from Thursday island.Ships all the way from Cape York to Brisbane and far away from coast.

You can find lot of strange vessel's position round the world every day.Some of them are constantly sending wrong data for some reason like those in Indonesian waters.It is not hard to find ships far inland or tiny river ships in south Atlantic etc.Although some far away spots are possible but we mu...

They make really quality antennas that last but I do not understand why do they charge for AIS anntennas more than double?!Just compare prices for 3 or 4 el. AIS yagi and those for 144 MHZ.

Glad to know that someone put AIS on the map from Mosgiel.I noticed last week that some recently listed new stations have equipment description as " MT SLR 300".

I do not think that repeaters are improving pictures of AIS reception .If you check daily reception of particular station you can see during poor condition how far station can get data from ship.If repeaters play game here,why we can not see improvments in coverage during poor condition? Yes,it takes a time on Marine Traffic to print out statistics but my plotter shows maximum distance tonight of 419,5 miles to Cagliari,Sardinia island !The others are between 116 and 366 miles.Nice surprise! It is late here 1 AM,time for bed and QRT comp and AIS receiver.

Noticed long time ago that station from Eden (id 1221)has very poor performance .Running SLR 200N from 43 meters above sea level and catching just a few miles sounds strange ?!

Great reception along VK4 coast from Cape York to Brisbane and accross Coral Sea all way to the Papua.I took screen print of Townsville station at 16.42 UTC.Just amazing!

I came across this "pile-up" of superyachts anchored off Monte Carlo,Monaco during Monaco Yacht Show today.It is not tropo but would like to see them on my AIS receiver during tropo.

Yes,almost the same reception from both stations.Look like sprinkler set at Bali and opened to south.Not much to see towards west or northwest.Maybe in coming warmer months.

Yes, really great reception .We should find out information of his antenna,reckon.A few more VK station has been registered but nothing to see "on the air" from gulf of Carpentaria,Thursday island,Launceston...Hope to see something soon from those promising locations for AIS.

Is he really on 530 m ASL?
