Re: FT8 6m DX
i have noticed the ft8 fad has faded a bit in that people aren't completely glued to the pc and the mouse.( like last year) cause reworking every one in ft8 isnt much fun its more about probing the band checking for openings etc then coming down to ssb or cw or what ever. for dx its useful but not p...

Re: 2018 Spring VHF UHF Field Day
i'll only be on 6m to give out a few numbers if the band is open from home and possibly mobile.
summer i'll make a bigger effort.

Re: The future for amateur radio in VK
Post by VK4GHZ » Sat Aug 20, 2016 10:39 am The future for amateur radio in VK? It's amusing how most (self centered) hams want: • more power • more bands • more privileges (ie: digital modes for Foundation) It's all about THEM. They ignore the bloody obvious. How about: • more hams ? ? ? I dissagre...

pre amps for 2m pre amp or LNA
looking at preamps for 2m possibly 70cm this is where my station has been lacking lna seem a good alternative at a reasonable cost. do i mount it in the shack or on the tower my biggst issue is the long run to the top of the tower 30-40m mainly rg 213 cant justify the upgrade to lmr 400 just yet my ...

Re: NBS Tilt Over Mast Experiences
Tell me about it... my concrete truck couldn't squeeze around the back to where my mast is... so I had to wheelbarrow the whole load of 32MPa into the hole before it set. After some months I swear my shoulders are still sore... but it was worth the pain. There is no way my mast is going to move. Ch...
