Re: Cheap eBay 2m Amps

I was not quite happy with the performance of the low pass filter especially after running it through Elise. So I tried a 7th order chebyshev filter with 160Mhz cut off and standardised the components. Refer to the attached circuit diagram. The wire size for the 78nH coil is (as supplied with the ki...

Re: Cheap eBay 2m Amps

Thanks to VK2XAX for the circuit diagram.
While trawling the net I found the attached circuit. One point to note, is that the 10ohm resistor and attach to the gate and not to the drain as shown. Other than that the input circuit looks a little odd.

Re: Ex-Commercial Radios On 6m ?

How much effort is required to get the Unilab KL70 onto 6 meters. I was just going to pulll it to bits but if its not to much effort it might be worth while to convert it.

Re: Dish pan/tilt head using stepper motors

I see that no one has posted anything on this topic for quite a few months, so I guess that we have all seen the article in January QST --- WRAPS: A portable Satellite Antenna Rotator System.
Seems like this would do what Adam wants, but maybe a bit light on for a dish.

Re: VK3XDK 2.4GHz Transverter project by VK4GHZ

Hi Scott, Thanks for your update. Hope you are having much sucess with your testing. I had a problem with mine and was unable to set the bias on the rx FET. I replaced it yesterday and now it is working fine. I benched tested receive last night and was able to copy the local beacon using my 1.2ghz a...

Re: DSE UHF Radio

I totally disagree with those remarks... Richard VK2AAH I am glad you totally disagree me my remarks, as we all have our own options and are free to express them. My comments were not just "off the cuff" having trained as a electronic technician. The only DSE ham kit that I was successful...

Re: VK3XDK 2.4GHz Transverter project by VK4GHZ

Hello Adam and Scott, I was looking at the photos of your builds (great job) and noticed one thing I could not understand. It appears from the photos of both builds (more obvious on Scott's build) that the output of the tripler is connected to the IF ports on the transverter board and the LO ports a...

Re: DSE UHF Radio

Hi, I would suggest that you file it in the nearest circular filing receptacle. It's not even worth your time or effort to do anything more with it. Most if not all, DSE ham kits were very poorly designed and getting them to work in any acceptable manner is really not worth your time or effort. A fr...
