In just over one week, from the date this was written, the 23 on 23 activity day will fall over a weekend period. As usual this will trigger a Microwave Activity Day (MAD) for the group. The stepped withdrawal of the current Covid19 travel restriction, due to be implemented in the next 24 hours, wil...

Re: Icom IC-9700 users topic
Why oh why wouldn't they supply the appropriate 8 pin din plug in the spares kit?
Of course the other format from Kenwood 8 pin.
Had a real scrabble around in the junk last night to make up the amplifier interface lead in time for the Meteor Scatter net this morning

Re: MAD - Sunday February 24, 2019
Well all very disappointing - it has turned into a glorious day, no rain coming and wind is “very modest”. Such a shame after a lot of pre-planning for the MAD by lots of guys. Anyway I still plan to do something. I have a new 5.7GHz system to test and compare with the existing system. I can get on ...

Re: The Spectrian Amp for 2.4Ghz
Very timely that this string appeared right now. We have a number of these boards here in VK4. Information received - but I stress not acted upon yet - suggested that significant improvement in performance was possible by snowflaking the input circuit for 2.4. I understood that the output tuning was...

Thanks to Adam.
My model has the the bipolar devices almost certainly judging from the serial number and date of manufacture. The FET version did not come out until much later

TS2000 2m PA device Type
Hello Brains Trust The Kenwood TS2000 series of transceivers used different output devices in the 2m PAs on different production runs. I believe Kenwood moved to FETs in later models. Can anyone help to identify which was used in my model from a serial number? Or direct me to where this info might b...
