I think the admins have been having dramas with the gateway. Last I heard is they were considering of moving its location....?
Maybe this is happening or maybe there is something more to it?

I've been getting into the DMR side lately and quite enjoy the quality that digital brings. I personally have been using a DV4mini and from all reports so far, the audio both ways has been great. What is quite interesting is the lack of specific information and assistance, especially on the BrandMei...

As a standard, you don't have access to the CEPT T/R 61-01/02.
I understand this only comes with an advanced licence.... Happy to be proven wrong

Not sure if there is any other agreement that you may be able to operate under (have not read those links as yet)

Most EchoIRLP nodes can be controlled via SSH. This can be done from most portable electronic devices or computers where an internet connection is available. You can place an APRS object on the net without "gating" via RF. Most IRLP objects/stations are placed directly via the internet, as with RX I-Gates. There are some home stations that on object via the internet, but they could maybe also serve as an RX I-Gate. I think there maybe some WX s...

So does one simply request any frequency (simplex such as 145.4 or 145.525 etc or something lower in the band - around 144.7 area) or is it best to leave it free and allow the powers to be make the allocation
