Have built my own for 2/70/23, but never got the expected results, probably lack of proper test gear. Bought preamps for 2/70 from Pete WA2ODO and G4DDK for 23 and 9cm.....brilliant... With Pete's preamp, if you break them, send it back to him (unopened) and he will repair/retune free of charge, oth...

Just by chance saw a piccy and had DF1SR on the PCB......emailed Georg and 198 Euro later.........
As you say the '286 are getting hard to source. I have UTsource devices in 2 PA's, 120W is the best I can get.....I am told the Chinese devices are factory rejects.....

Was going to test today, but got sidetracked....It comes built,tuned and tested...Will keep you posted.

OK just hooked it all up....4W in 53.4dBm out, Id is 14A@ 28V, Idq is 1A......

A really enjoyable morning, weather was good.
3 QSO's on 23cm, and 4CZ/P and 4UH/P on 10GHz.....Heard Doug 4OE/P, but too weak for a QSO......

Missed a few stations on 23, nil heard from VK2........
