Hi David
I will be loading the netbooks this week with software and will add most digimodes to the list
As Luke suggests main activity will be RTTY but depending on activity one may play "modes" as we will have 4-5 stations running.

VK9NT Norfolk Island 6m
Hi Folks I will be on NI from May 3 until May 13 with 10 other ops for the VK9NT DX-pedition. http://vk9nt.odxg.org/ We will only have 2 el for 6m on the HF hex beam but it's worth a shot. Keep in mind that this is mainly a "HF' operation but we will happily operate 6m if conditions allow. I wi...

Re: Kenwood TS-2000
I bought a used one for $1350, ts2000 not X.
an early model, deaf VHF/UHF compared to a 706/910H but still OK, havent modded the preamp yet.
Software is upgradable across all models.
So an early one with latest s/w is close to the latest version radio.
regards Lee

Re: Does this sound like powerpole noise?
Several years ago i had severe RFI from a power pole. Contacted the power company to be told "not their problem" After getting the Interference brochure from ACMA, i explained to the power co that the interference coming from the pole was affecting my "Free to Air" TV on Channel ...

Re: MFJ 1025 - noise filter
I tried an ANC4 with my plasma tv and was able to reduce the interference on 40m from 20db over 9 to about S7, basically nulled. Be aware that it is only really good for single point sourse noise. it will have no real effect on "general noise" also you will lose about 3db of signal when yo...

Re: Plasma TV QRM
Testing fate i have just purchased a 63" Samsung 3d plasma. What a shocker for HF QRN. On 40m ambient noise is about S5, with the plasma on it goes up to 20db over S9 On 20m ambient noise is about S0, with the plasma on it goes up to S9 Removing all cables except the mains which has 2 clip on f...

Re: STUPID Field Day rule changes
Next we will be banning clubs who put on BBQ's to "stream" club members through to make contact with the clubs remote field day station ......... Maybe a simple roving section would be suited to those competitors who go to the effort. Although a field day is fun, sometimes it nice to get a...

I have one of the older NBS 6el on a 7m boom. it uses ubolts and aluminium machined brackets, not cams. Its being assembled atm and i hope to install it on my nally this week, now its a bit cooler down south here. given the spacings from the poor instruction manual, the boom was about 150mm too shor...

Re: tax deductions for school amateur radio club
We donate art materials to the school my kids attend and get a tax deduction for our company to the value of the goods, provided the school gives a letter of proof.
I see no reason that a donation of radio equipment would not be the same. Regardless that is it from an individual.
