Hi Peter,
Will look for you on the logger over the next few nights.
There are few stations here in gippsland with JT9 installed as part of wspr-x, was testing with norm vk3dut a few nights ago.

Re: Looking for tolerant low signal digital mode
Hi,
Perhaps JT9 is a possibility, seems to work ok on the balloon tracking out to several 1000 km on hf with lighting crashes
Willing to try with you anytime, can run it just below the wspr freq on 2m with 1000 Hz mod freq.

Re: PS-49 PICO balloon HF payload WSPR JT9
Hi All,
Can anyone listening to the JT9 signal on 10 MHz advise the current frequency offset it is transmitting on.
I can see the WSPR signal but have no decodes of the JT9 signal. I am looking 1000 Hz but no decodes as yet?
Jim.

Re: Switch mode Power supplies, I hate them
Hi,
I had a problem at xmas with a new noise source wiping out 2m band, pulsed at a 2 second rate. Only on at night.
Traced it to a set of solar powered blue LED lights i had put up outside as decorations. a Very nice noise generator.

Hi,
Have a talk to Premier Batteries in sydney (you will have to look up the phone number)
They have supplied gates cells to our firm in the past. These were for IFR500,s they may even make up the pack for you.

Re: Shin-en2 spacecraft site
Hi,
Only seen 1 report of signals rxed, and a report that the mode J transponder did not fly also.
Should be able to pick up signals with single 9 el yagi and using spectran or wsjt to look at signals
will be too low in s/n ratio to hear most likely.
