Re: Robust Packet
For APRS on a 'cruiser it looks pretty good, but wouldn't there need to be matched Rx stations around the place for it to be useful? A Robust Packet HF gateway in Bulgaria probably wouldn't work that well if you were mobile in the Simpson. I'd be very interested to know how it goes, but stumping up...

Re: Robust Packet
Yes but if it is as good as it claims to be then it is cheap. I'm wondering if anyone has tried it and can report on it. If it is a shorter packet then that would have to be a good thing for HF I would have thought.VK2XSO wrote:At 259 euros. I think I'll give it a miss.

Robust Packet
Hi Brains trust,
Does anyone have any experience with the SCS Robust Packet capability? http://www.scs-ptc.com/news/new-tracker ... er-dsp-tnc
I'm looking at putting in HF APRS to to my Land Cruiser and am wondering if it has any significant advantages over say a TT4.

Re: Auto Mute a Second Radio
Thanks all,
Both radios have PTT on rear connectors. I think I'll use these on a transister and make the switch happen on the opposite radios speaker line.
Hopefully I can control the smoke......

Auto Mute a Second Radio
Dear VK Logger Brainstrust, I'm looking for ideas on the ways that I can do the following: 2 single band VHF and UHF roadios running with external speakers. They receive the same signal, the VHF one direct and the UHF through a cross band repeater from a simplex VHF signal. I want to Tx on either on...

Re: Kenwood TS-2000 & signalink
What I have found on my TS2000X is the Signalink RX level control needs to be at max, and the WSJT RX gain up about 80% to get a 0dB operating level. I'm interested to know what your receive level is. -- Wayne ZL2BKC You have probably already done this but in my set up I need to have the Signalink ...
