Pretty quiet so just the 8 hours. Could be a great spot for the Spring and Summer days.

Mate you will never go wrong starting with a HT. They are an almost essential piece of kit even when you end up with a K3, FT9000, IC7800 etc. A HT gets you on air economically and into repeaters plus some simplex work, plus you can usually get onto a sat or 2. Dave, I use an FT897D for 6M and a 910H for 2/70/23. My 910H has a single DSP fitted which I think is worthwhile. Power out on 70 is slightly better than the TS2000 otherwise they are the same.
