Re: What's on your Workbench?
Hi Lou, looks good.
I have had trouble driving the FPV amplifiers similar to one you are using. I have read there is a 16dB pad on the amplifier input that can be reduced to 10 dB reducing the drive requirement.
Have you experienced this.

Hi Tim,
I have GARC panel Transverter running 300mw on 3.4 GHz when you are ready .
I also have a W1GHz Transverter running 3 watts that need to be package up.
I can get an amplifier ready to run more power if required

Re: 3.4 GHz Transverter Conversion (3.5 GHz WiFi transceiver
Hi All,
The power amp in the 3.4 GHz panel consists of 2 x HMC327 mmics. The drive is split for each device using a 90 degree splitter and the recombined after being amplified.
My question the driver has the marking "A62" is it known what this device is?
Thank you

Hi All,
I plan to bring my Panel down to Gippstech, I am travelling by car with Steve 2xde.
it is running low power about 250 mW due to one of the output FETS is faulty and I have disconnected it.
Is there any plans for other bands. I can bring down 1296 and 2400 MHz if there is interest.

Re: A 3.4GHz "Soup Can" feed
Thanks Chas, I use a mini-tube cutter to cut or strip the small hardline. It doss a very good job but can leave a "burr" on the cut edge which makes it difficult to remove the outer sheaf.
Thanks 73

Hi Chas thank you for showing us your "Soup Can" feed.
I am currently also make a feed for 3.4 GHz.
How did you remove the inner Dilectric and conductor from the UT-085 coax.
Thank you

Hi All,
The next 3.4 GHz QSO Party is on Anzac Day 25th April, who in NSW is going to participate?
I have my panel working running low power ( about 250mW).
Any takers?

Re: 3.4 GHz Transverter Conversion (3.5 GHz WiFi transceiver
HI all, My Panel was working very well until yesterday afternoon, Tx power output +30dBM and I could hear -120dBm. Now the board draws about 1.5 amps and now difference between TX and RX. I suspect short circuit PA MMIC's I used my version of Dave 2jds receive modification using a pipe cap filter be...

Hi All,
I should be operational, just putting the finishing touches on my panel.
I would like to confirm a NSW liaison frequency and if it is a repeater, what tone access will be required?
looking forward to a great day

Hi All,
I was considering an amplifier for the TR3500.
Has anyone tried a 30 watt amp with the TR3500 ? A sequencer and suitable TR switch will be required.
What are the power limitations of the existing Patch antenna?
