FLIR one Battery Replacement

This FLIR one thermal imaging camera is over 10 years old, and the original battery is no longer holding a charge which now makes the camera unusable.

It’s time to replace the battery!

Replacement generic batteries can be found on ebay and AliExpress.

This battery came from this ebay store located in Shenzhen, China.

All these batteries are rated at 185mAh, unlike the original 350mAh, but they are the correct dimensions.

First, use a Stanley knife or similar to open up along the top rear edge.

Begin to lever the rear outwards.

Once you have enough leverage, a small flat blade screwdriver can be used.

There may be residual adhesive inside, but the rear will pop off.

Lever the old battery off the rear face with a screwdriver, and lift the connector.

Note 2-pin battery connector.

This will drop in over the pins, not push into the pins, so lift up when removing and press down when fitting.

Fit new battery to connector.

Press the batteries connector onto the PCB connector with the small screwdriver.

Double sided tape might be tacky enough to hold the new battery.

Tidy cable within inside and refit rear face.

Done!
