Today the Large camera mount kit, from Fortis Airframes, is being assembled.
Like the airframe itself, the camera mount is laser cut Delrin.
It actually hangs beneath the airframe.
The entire platform is isolated from the vibration of your multirotor by vinyl tubing.
At first glance this may seem like a weak connection, but it certainly is not.
Each mounting point can hold up to 5lbs- that’s 20lbs total before they give way.
A 1/4″ thumbscrew comes with the kit, which suits most cameras that have a tripod mount.
Just like the airframe, start by punching out the cutouts:
Masking tape is peeled off, and adhesive residue wiped away with IPA:
